Company Origin Story
Solterra Solutions is the first pure play Solar OFE managed service provider in the country. Founded in 2024 by two former Blue Ridge Power executives, the company’s roots trace back to late 2022 when module site delivery issues plagued projects. The leadership team discovered an innovative solution to the problem – managing inland freight themselves. Instead of trying to make the best of working with whichever trucking company hired by the OEM, the team qualified and selected only the safest, most reputable, and qualified trucking companies.
This homework paid off. Between January and December 2023, over 1GW of modules were delivered to site with an unheard of 99.5% on time delivery performance rate to pre-booked delivery appointments. Breakage rates fell by 55%, and ZERO safety incidents were encountered in over 3,000 truck deliveries. The team was even featured as a case study in a Harvard Business Review article on business process innovations.
